<p>Bustling a wedding dress may sound a bit outdated but most wedding dresses still have a train needing to be bustled.  In actuality, it is the go-to move for keeping those beautiful dresses in top shape throughout a reception. Bustling helps the bride move around a bit easier while she is dancing and greeting her guests.  But, do those buttons, loops and bows frighten you?  Not if you are a Wedding Day of Coordinator.  It is one of the many tasks we take very seriously.  We know that you don’t want to stand around and wait for someone to figure out how it is done. A prepared Wedding Day of Coordinator has done this many time and although each time is different, the concept is the same.  The longest part of the train and finds the loop around the upper back area and gets attached first.  Underneath are strings that get attached to each other creating the bustle.  Here is a trade secret.  Ask the seamstress to number the strings that go together, that way you don’t have to guess which ones go with which.  As a Wedding Day of Coordinator this is always something I discuss in our pre-planning meeting and if the dress might be a little complicated, I take the time to call the seamstress to discuss and get a feel for its complexity.    But the last thing you want is to be anxious to get to the party and be standing around having everyone trying to figure out how to bustle your dress.  This is just one of the many reasons to hire a Wedding Day of Coordinator. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>No matter how well you have planned, how many meetings you have with your vendors, no matter how many times you visit the ceremony site, inevitably something will always go wrong.  But when you hire a Day of Coordinator you can relax knowing that whatever goes wrong, you will be covered by your coordinator.  An experienced Day of Coordinator will always be ready for whatever the day will bring.  She is the calm in the storm.  And when the storm does hit it is the responsibility of the Day of Coordinator to quickly solve the problem without anyone but her staff knowing there was even a problem.  After almost 10 years, I have seen every problem that can arise and am always looking over my shoulder for the one I have yet to experience.   My favorite example of things gone wrong is when the DJ company showed up to set the equipment, but I never saw a DJ.  Of course, as the Day of Coordinator I have the vendor list and quickly call the DJ Company.  Unfortunately, my call went to voice mail and now the ceremony was only a half hour away.  Because I have great relationships with several DJ’s in the area, I started calling from my little black book.  With a lot of luck and prayers, the second person I called was at home watching a football game and agreed to come over and help me.  He arrived just in time as I handed him the music that was to be playing and the ceremony went off without a hitch.  As we moved into the reception I received a call from the DJ company only to find out that the DJ was in a car accident and would not be able to make it.  I told the company that I had everything under control and we would discuss compensation on Monday.  The bride did notice it was a different DJ than she had met, but then again, he was playing the music she requested so all was good.   Can you imagine what would have happen if “Aunt Suzie” was helping out as the Day of Coordinator?  She probably would have started humming here comes the bride, and with your luck, off key!!</p>

<p>Reason One: So you can just be the bride.  We know you have planned this day for months and that you have thought of every little detail.  But you didn&#8217;t spend all that time planning so you could throw a major event and be an event planner! You spent all that time planning so you could be a bride!  By having a day of wedding coordinator, that is exactly what you get to be.  &#8221;The Bride&#8221;.  Not &#8220;The Bride/Vendor Contact/Emergency Fire Putter Outer/Event Planner&#8221;.  Just &#8220;The Bride&#8221;.  Having us as your day of wedding coordinator lets you focus on you and your groom.  We will deal with the florists, the caterer, the rehearsal dinner, the reception details, the wedding favors, the table cards, and every other little detail that doesn&#8217;t just magically happen on its own.  We are like your fairy godmother, and you, my dear, get to be the princess.</p>
<p>Reason Two:  So we can protect your vision.  Opinionated aunties, or mothers-in-law, or girlfriends won&#8217;t be able to steer your vision off course when we are there as your day of coordinator.  We are able to tell well-intended but poorly misguided guests of your special day that we have been hired to do what you have asked and that we need to get to it and would they please have their seat.  Something that can be hard for a bride to do to loved ones and stressful for her to have to deal with on an already very busy day.</p>
<p>Reason Three: So your family (especially your mother) can relax and enjoy the special day.  Your loved ones know how much this day means to you and want it to be perfect.  On a diy wedding day, mothers and friends are often picking up cakes, flowers, decorating tables, arranging table cards, and doing everything EXCEPT enjoying your wedding day.  With us as your day of wedding coordinators, we can do all of that and your loved ones can smile adoringly at you and your sweetheart and enjoy being part of your wedding day.</p>
<p>Reason Four: So we can deal with the vendors.  We know how to work with caterers and florists and florists and entertainment for the reception.  We know what to expect from them and how to communicate expectations clearly to them.  Where this may be your first time dealing with them, it certainly isn&#8217;t ours, and we will be your advocate with them to see that your day is perfect.</p>
